Health & Safety Commitment
Safety is one of the most important factors when choosing a scaffolding contractor, particularly within an industry that is highly regulated and closely monitored. By choosing Tamworth Scaffolding Co Ltd, you can be confident that every project — regardless of size or complexity – is carried out safely, professionally, and in full compliance with current industry standards.
We are proud to have maintained an impeccable safety record for more than 30 years and have been full contracting members of the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) since 2009. As part of our ongoing commitment to safety and compliance, we undergo regular audits to ensure we remain fully up to date with the latest industry guidance and best practices. We also work alongside Safety & Access of Nottingham, who support and oversee our health and safety obligations.

Safe Working Practices
Our safety strategy begins with our workforce. We employ only our own full-time staff, all of whom are CITB and CISRS registered, ensuring every member of our team is trained to the highest industry standards. Our experienced scaffolders possess extensive knowledge across a wide range of applications, including difficult access projects, church spires, access towers, and large-span temporary roofs.
Every project we undertake is carefully planned and managed in accordance with the latest scaffolding regulations and guidance, covering all aspects of safety including planning, safe working zones, access and egress, and personal fall protection systems. We also strictly follow the hierarchy of fall prevention at all times – eliminating risks wherever possible, guarding hazards effectively, and protecting workers through robust safety measures and procedures.
Working At Height Regulations
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 require that, unless a scaffold is constructed to a recognised standard configuration – such as NASC Technical Guidance TG20 for tube and fitting scaffolds, or equivalent manufacturer guidance for system scaffolds – it must be specifically designed and calculated by a competent person. This ensures the scaffold has sufficient strength, rigidity, and stability throughout its erection, use, and dismantling.
By choosing Tamworth Scaffolding Co Ltd, you can be confident that all scaffolding on your project is fully compliant with these regulations. We provide comprehensive documentation, including risk assessments and method statements detailing the risks and safe working procedures involved. Where required, we also supply TG20-compliant documentation or full design drawings supported by engineering calculations, giving you complete assurance and helping to prevent any unexpected delays or interruptions due to site inspections.
